Old thrills never die

5 04 2010

I did the first half of my engagment pictures yesterday.  I say half because the second location (Japanese tea gardens) was packed due to easter festivities and will be postponed until this coming Sunday.

We went to Mission San Jose…my favorite mission.  Mostly for it’s beauty but also what it holds for me, it symbolizes love to me, and it only made me happy to smile at this location with the man I love.  I can’t wait for you to see a picture.

I’m getting married!

13 01 2010

So it’s been so long since I’ve been on here.  In the meantime, I’ve gotten engaged and I’m getting married!

We found a location and put money down today-the Fort Sam Houston Golf Club.  I’ll put a link up this week…I promise.  The date is Saturday July 24th.

For more details see our webpage…it will be updated as there is more to come!

Love in Every Color

Showing the love

16 02 2009

Good morning and happy presidents day!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I know I did!  It ended the greatest!  Stay tuned later today/tonight for an updated surprise (might not end up being until tomorrow, but we’ll see).  Here is a hint:

newcar

I worked Friday night but got off around midnight.  Got in my car and this is what I found:

A new steering wheel cover, twizzlers, my favorite iced tea, diet gold peak, and a card from Joey.  Perfect!  Not too valentinesey (flowers, candy, etc-I’m NOT that kind of girl).  He did that while I was at work!  What a doll.  I got to see him for 5 minutes on Valentines day.  I woke up before him to train clients, and had to be at work before he came home at night, but he stopped by to say hi to me at the bar, so yeah, 5 minute valentines day!

One of my clients got my a calla lilly plant.  Purple and gorgeous!  I already potted that baby and put him up by the tv.  I love lillies and its funny b/c I either wanted a plant for valentines day, or a steering wheel cover.  LOL, best of both worlds!

Last night Joey and I ate at one of my favorite places here, Four Peak brewery.  We met my cousin and her “man friend” John.  He is a great person and fun to hang out with.  I’m glad we met him and can’t wait to go up to his house in Flagstaff!  I wanted to have my hefeweisen, but I was so tired, if I had one, I would probably fall asleep.  I got the Grilled Chicken and beer bread…omg, it was awesome !  I could only eat half of it thought and I got a side of pasta salad, I have NEVER had pasta salad so thick, but it was sooo good~  so good that I had to do the tea last night and I’m waiting on the salt water flush to kick in this morning lol!  Told you, that was the one thing I was keeping from my cleanse.  When eating out and over indulging, use the laxative tea and night and salt water flush in the am.  Stay safe, keepin it clean 😉

Check back later!

Crazy for you

I also added a funny pic in here: Joey’s been sick and gargles with Hydrogen Peroxide and he lets it sit and foam, so he looks like a rabid dog OR crazy for me! LOL  He always makes me laugh-I love you.

The Big MC-Day #2

3 02 2009

Let me start off by saying I dont feel as bad as some people I’ve read bout usually do.  Some people get tired, the tea gives them cramps, etc.  So far so good.  I said so far.  Day 2 and 3 are supposed to be the hardest.

I ended up drinking 7 lemonades yesterday along with 10 cups of water or mint tea.  I find the lemonades make me thirsty so I drink a lot of excess water, also to quiet my hunger.  I find the tea refreshing and a nice change, especially the chocolate at night.  The salt water this morning was MUCH easier to drink.  I put it in a bottle and shook it today instead of stirring, think that makes a huge difference.  Just waiting now.  Getting my “business” done and then drinking my first lemonade and going for a walk today.

Hunger is a huge issue for me.  I get hungry a lot, I can chug water and it will go away, but it comes back.  Not so much this morning, but yesterday was hard, and I kept smelling food and hearing about food and reading about it in emails, etc.  I hope today will be easier.  I’m thinking of the results and trying not to ruin this.  The hardest part was I made Joey a homemade (but healthy and low carb) chicken pot pie yesterday so he has dinners for a few nights that I dont have to cook (and he’s sick and its soup like).  It smelled SOOOO good!  no cooking today so we’ll see.  Keeping busy with housework, walking, and other adventures.

On other notes, I came home yesterday and there were lillies on my counter!  Joey got me some and a card “just because”.  We played this little game Sunday and asked each other questions to answer about the other person.  Well, one happened to be favorite flowers so what do you know.  They are going to smell awesome!

Also, I’m doing a little job hunting this week.  Shocked?  I  know.  I only have about 2 clients out of 9 that do mornings.  And its only 1-2 mornings a week.  Most of my training is in the evenings so why not just utilize that time and only offer those hours.  I’ve been relying on Joey’s extra money as backup for my bills.  I can’t do that to him anymore and we both get stressed.  We need to pay down some serious debt.  I’m always worried b/c I  never know when money will be coming in.  That is the hard part about being an Independent Trainer.  I dont think you realize how worried I always am.  I have no paycheck for sure to rely on for my car payment, rent, bills, etc.  It just depends on if people buy more sessions/renew or I get new clients, which is hard to do.  So I’m trying to find a place to bartend on weekends and maybe try starbucks or something for mornings.  I’m only in AZ for  8 more months so I should work my butt off to pay off bills and save cash so we can buy a house wherever we move to.  Its sad, stressful, and sometimes I just want to stay home and cry.  But I have friends, family, love and good health/education so we’ll go from there!

I’M SO HUNGRY.  I dont crave bad food so I know I’m hungry.  I want apples and big salads!  They say you crave what you eat, well maybe I am.  And I’m a little tired, and  my muscles ache.  I hope this is the worst of it.

I’ve been busy all day.  Applied at starbucks, coffee bean, its a grind, ulta, borders, sprouts, and I’m going to go by hurricane bay night club.  I really miss bartending and just want to make some good money like that and have a ton of fun at the same time.  We’ll see what happens.  3 more lemonades to go!

Adding to the family

15 01 2009

I’m so excited to meet Joey’s mom you have no idea!  She called at 6am this morning because she was so excited she was coming in tonight!  She even asked if she can stay a few extra days.  She was like, ‘you know i’d just like to read my book by the pool and relax’ so we dont mind!  We’ll be doing so much running around the first few days she is here it will be nice for her to relax as well.  I dont blame her either, she’s coming from Chicago where the temperature last night was -14, not counting the wind chill.  And its in the 70’s all week here!  (yes, be very jealous, I went hiking this morning too).

Well, Phil did not pass his GED, he passed all but one section.  But he sure tried.  And with Joey’s mom here a few extra days its even tougher to find a place to stay.  He said he knows some people so I said ‘ok, then i’m not going to worry about finding a place.’  He’s a big boy now.

But hey, I’m excited for my weekend!  I can’t wait to tell you all about it!
